Cerdan (Danewin x Folie DÁmour) was able to make it back to back wins at Kranji today when he lead from start to finish over 1200m.
After taking 24 starts to break his maiden, the market was only luke warm about a repeat with Cerdan starting at 9-1.
Jockey Olivier Placais having his first ride on Cerdan jumped well from barrier six and took the lead within fifty
metres of the start and was able to find the fence. From that point Placais controlled the race and halfway down the running he had opened up a 2 length gap. The horse was strong all the way to the line and won with a bit to spare by a length in a time of 1:10.43.
The win on Cerdan brought up a landmark for Olivier Placais as it was his 600th since first being apprenticed in France to Arnaud De Moussac in 2002.
