The Arexevan Racing owned Hint pulled off a successful hit and run raid at his second attempt at the RM500,000 Yang Di Pertua Negiri Gold Cup over 2200 metres at the Batu Gantong track on Sunday.

Framed as a "Malaysian Group 1" race but never the less considered a Listed race by studbook's around the world, Hint was well ridden by expatriate Brazilian jockey Jose De Souza and won by 2.8 lengths in the very fast time of 2:12.5. The time was only 0.1 seconds outside the long standing race record of 2:12.4 set by Noble Spirit in 1994.
